As a member of the QuHacks organizing team, I contributed to creating the 2022 website, designed marketing materials, and co-led a workshop on creating websites using HTML/CSS. QuHacks is a student-led organization that has operated in Central Maryland since 2016 and annually hosts a hackathon for high school and middle school students. The team aims to encourage young students to learn programming concepts and develop projects through a beginner-friendly competitive atmosphere.
I created assets for the website alongside the 2022 logo and various forms of merchandise. The embedded media and images below (left to right, top to bottom) consist of the sponsorship package, CSS workshop slideshow presentation, official 2022 logo, poster design, second logo design for merchandise, and T-shirt designs for organizers. I used a variety of coding and design programs such as Visual Studio Code, Canva, lvllvl, and FireAlpaca. Developing these materials required knowledge in HTML and CSS concepts, textmode and pixel artwork, and effective design principles.
