In May of 2024, I embarked on a week-long journey to develop a personal portfolio website as a way to practice my coding and UI/UX design skills. I aimed to create a clean, easily accessible digital space to hold my past coding and art projects for potential employers to review. Although I had independently created other websites in the past, this was the first website I officially deployed and maintained a domain for.
I built this website in Visual Studio Code, utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap. I researched a variety of web development topics to strengthen my understanding of vital concepts such as the box model, column/row division, and gradient animations. I also paid attention to accessible design techniques, responsiveness across various devices, and the balance between visual attractiveness and functionality. Overall, this project served as an effective means to progress in my journey as a programmer and artist.
