Recording of the testing stage during development.
As a member of the 2023 - 2024 Bitcamp tech team, one of the coding projects I contributed to was the official event mobile app. Bitcamp is a University of Maryland, College Park, student-run organization that annually hosts one of the largest collegiate hackathons on the east coast, with the recent 2024 hackathon having received 1000+ registrations. The hackathon emphasizes creating an engaging space for students of all ages to learn coding concepts through workshops and collaborate with peers to develop projects to submit for prizes and internship opportunities.
I primarily worked on the frontend development of the event mobile app, which is the app that hackers use throughout the three-day event to check in and out, collect points for their designated team, view the schedule, and navigate the venue. I created independent branches from the collaborative Github repository and coded in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, utilizing Vue.js, Node.js, and React. My tasks included updating graphics and colors, resetting timers, enhancing UI/UX components, and testing the app thoroughly. Through this project, I grew more proficient in my coding skills and attention to detail.
